The Sierra Leone Peace Museum opened in 2013 on the site of the Special Court for Sierra Leone in New England, Freetown. It is a national institution dedicated to preserving the history of the 1991-2002 civil war and honouring its victims.
The museum holds an extensive archive of conflict-era documents, including public records of the Special Court and materials from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
