Kent village and the King's Well

Kent sits at the southern tip of the Freetown Peninsula and is one of its historic villages. The King's Well and St Edward's Anglican Church are its best-known landmarks, and the church is listed by the Monuments and Relics Commission as a historical site.
Kent Beach, a short walk from the village across a creek, is a crescent of fine golden sand with calm water and good swimming. Boats to the Banana Islands leave from its southern end. Allow about an hour to an hour and a half by road from Freetown, depending on traffic.
