Aberdeen Beach

Aberdeen Beach sits on the northern tip of the Freetown Peninsula, about 2 km north of Lumley Beach. It is known for its upscale hotels and restaurants and is the easiest place to get away from the bustle of Lumley while staying in Freetown.
It is a quiet urban beach with good swimming spots and wide stretches of sand. In the morning fishermen head out on Man O War Bay; in the evening the beach fills with joggers.
It is about a 20-minute walk from Lumley, or 15 to 20 minutes by taxi from central Freetown depending on traffic.
